Hawks Nest
Hawks Nest is a local competition, much like Dragon’s Den, for local entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas to the Hawks, who are local angel investors, which resulted in over $36,000 in investments and loans.
Each Hawk plays a crucial role in the success of each year’s event. These Hawks are local entrepreneurs and business owners themselves who not only provide financial support to the contestants, but their mentorship, expertise and open up their network of contacts.
This year, this event had 6 Hawks who all committed to invest $5000 in the entrepreneurs during the event totally a minimum of $30,000.

This year entrepreneurs spanned across a variety of different industries, from organic pet treats to eco-friendly accommodations. Each contestant walked away with valuable advice, feedback and financial assistance from the six Hawks.
