Bruce Telecom, a long-standing telecommunications provider in Bruce County, has built a reputation not only for delivering reliable communication services but also for its active role in supporting local initiatives. By sponsoring the Chesley Lawn Bowling Club, Bruce Telecom demonstrates its dedication to enhancing the quality of life in the communities it serves.
The Chesley Lawn Bowling Club, formed in 1898, offers a welcoming environment for lawn bowling enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. The club provides an opportunity for social interaction, physical activity, and friendly competition, all of which contribute to the well-being of its members.
Sponsorships like this one are vital for small-town clubs and organizations. They provide essential funding that helps maintain equipment, improve facilities, and host events. For Bruce Telecom, this sponsorship is not just about financial support; it’s about strengthening the fabric of the community. It ensures that local traditions, such as lawn bowling, continue to thrive and bring people together.
Big Brothers Bigs Sisters of Grey Bruce has been serving youth and families throughout the community for over 60 years. As a mentorship organization, they believe in investing in the power and potential of all youth and their mentorship programs do just that. With both community-based and in-school programs, they ensure children and youth are supported to overcome adversities and increase resiliency across time.
Many children and youth in Canada struggle with societal barriers and face adversities in their lives like detrimental living conditions, family violence, risk factors for mental health, school issues and identity challenges. These circumstances have nothing to do with the value of who they are or who they can become, but because of these situations, children and youth risk not having the opportunity to live up to their full potential. This is why Big Brothers and Big Sisters provide direct service to children by matching volunteers and youths in quality mentoring relationships to help remind them that they can be anything they dream of being.
