The Bruce Telecom Young Entrepreneur Award is a special recognition, designed to honor individuals under the age of 35 who have not only ventured into the world of entrepreneurship but have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities, innovation in business skills, proactive employee and customer relations, and community leadership.

This year the nominees for this award were:
Griffin’s Sweet Sensations
This sibling run business founded in 2022 by Olivia (18), Sierra (17), and Cole (16) has the most tasty treats. Their passion for baking drives them to provide high quality baked goods to their customers while also giving back to the community wherever possible. They donate a portion of their profits to local charities.
Jessica Haws
At 18 years old, Jessica has turned her passion for fashion and shopping into a career. As the owner of Second Wave Boutique in Downtown Kincardine, this high quality fashion consignment shop offers stylish options to the community. Jessica has created a space where young adults can shop for the brands they love without the hassle of travel of excessive costs.
Lauren Morris
Lauren started her first business, the Cheesy Monkii food truck at 24, creating gourmet versions of typical food truck menu items. The opening of her second food establishment is currently in the works. She supports the community by donating to local causes and mentoring youth by teaching them kitchen skills they can use in the future.
This award is not just about acknowledging business acumen; it’s about recognizing the dedication, passion, and community-minded spirit that young entrepreneurs bring to their ventures.
