We’d like to inform you about upcoming changes to TV content from our providers Corus and Bell Media.
Starting December 30, 2024 Corus and Bell Media will launch the following channels. These channels will continue to feature many of your favourite shows, and hundreds of hours of exciting new programming.
Flavour Network, which will replace Food Network on Channel 603 & 823, is the ultimate collection of food entertainment. From high stakes competition to delicious destinations from around the world, featuring diverse and unique stories from the best chefs and boundary pushing culinary experts who offer a fresh take on all things food.
Home Network, which will replace HGTV on channel 600 & 820, entertains and inspires with exclusive Canadian original series from a fresh lineup of international programs in an experience that feels like home. From friendly competitions to breathtaking makeovers to practical DIY and home styling advice, the most trusted experts in renovation, real estate, and design will guide audiences on an uplifting journey of discovery and transformation.
USA Network, which will replace Discovery on channel 520 & 826, is home to the buzziest scripted and unscripted series, fan-favourite hits, and block buster movies
Oxygen True Crime, which will replace Investigation Discovery on channel 528, is a haven for true-crime fans with chilling stories, gripping real-life mysteries, and investigations.
CTV Speed, which will replace Discovery Velocity on channel 852, is the ultimate pit-stop for automotive and trill-seeking enthusiasts, including live racing from NASCAR and IndyCar
CTV Wild, which will replace Animal Planet on channel 525, will continue to transport viewers deep into the animal kingdom, offering breathtaking encounters with Earth’s most captivating creatures and wonders of the natural world
CTV Nature, which will replace Discovery Science, unveils the captivating mysteries of science, nature and history celebrating the hidden beauty and awe-inspiring power of our planet. Explore the wonders of science, nature and history with captivating documentaries.

Why are these changes happening?
- TV programming services continually change. Recently, NBC Universal and Waner Bros. Discovery sold the rights to multiple channels formerly owned by Corus and Bell Media, to another provider. This sale of rights is outside of our control, but we wanted to ensure you understand how these changes impact our TV lineup.
Am I losing the ability to watch any shows because of these changes?
- Many of the shows will remain on the new channel launches. Plus, you will also have access to many new programs with hundreds of hours of new and exciting content!
How will this affect the channels I have selected or theme packages that I have?
- If you have any of the channels noted above, they will be automatically replaced with the newly launched channels. If you have one of the channels that is being discontinued as part of your bundle selection, or a Pick & Pay option, please contact our Customer Care team to select another channel from our lineup.
Are the original channels that I had going away? EG. HGTV/Food Network
- Corus and Bell Media are replacing the channels noted above with the new options. Bruce Telecom is actively in negotiations with the content provider to relaunch the previous channel selections.
Will my scheduled TV recordings be impacted?
- When the programming content changes, the TV guide schedule will change. Customers who have recordings scheduled on any of the affected channels may experience no future recordings after December 30, 2024. Recordings that have already happened will remain on your DVR until deleted
How do these changes impact my monthly bill?
- This change will not impact your monthly bill. TV content is continually changing. Many of the same popular shows that you enjoy will be available on these new channels. If you would like to make any changes to your channel selections please contact our Customer Care Team.
