Bruce Telecom and Saugeen First Nation have announced a managed services partnership that will significantly enhance band-owned utility Driftwood Communications and its plan to bring high-speed fibre optic broadband infrastructure to 1,200 properties across Saugeen First Nation.
The partnership will entrust the management of Driftwood Communications to Bruce Telecom, a highly reputable local telecommunications company providing internet, cellular, digital TV and home phone services. Bruce Telecom has been a leading provider of connected services in the region for more than 114 years. This summer, Bruce Telecom will work with Driftwood to transition 120 existing connected homes in the Saugeen First Nation into its customer base.
