Bruce Telecom Joins Forces With Independent Providers to Launch ITPA Carrier Services

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tiverton, ON – Bruce Telecom is proud to announce its participation in the launch of ITPA Carrier Services, a new collaborative telecommunications services platform developed by the Independent Telecommunications Providers Association (ITPA).

“These independent companies understand the value of working together with the shared interest of providing the best possible telecom experience for our customers. ITPA Carrier Services is a game-changer for independent providers,” said Ray Lahoud, President of Bruce Telecom and ITPA Board Member who introduced the concept and championed the initiative.

The ITPA Carrier Services initiative connects the network of 16 Independent telecom providers across Ontario and Quebec, offering carriers, Internet Service Providers, and enterprise partners a single point of access to high-quality, locally managed network infrastructure. Through this program, service providers agree to allow other members to access last-mile fibre, transport, and data connectivity across their territories, providing a collaborative and cost-effective way to reach communities across their shared market regions.

“We’ve built something that reflects the strength of our brands— our knowledge of our market areas, the value of working together and a shared commitment to building strong and connected communities. This initiative allows us to deliver the same carrier-grade connectivity as large national players, but with the personal service and responsiveness that only independents can offer,” said Lahoud.

The platform simplifies wholesale connectivity by streamlining qualification and deployment processes. Through one intake, partners can access services such as fibre access, transport, wavelength, dark fibre, and data-centre interconnects—tailored to regional availability and backed by trusted local teams.

“Our brand promise is ‘connecting our communities’ and this is such a great alignment with that pledge: it is about more than infrastructure—it’s about connection,” added Stephanie Brunato, General Manager of Bruce Telecom. “We’re proud to be part of a network that puts people first and values cooperation. By collaborating with other independent providers, we’re extending our reach while staying true to our roots in community-focused service.”

What’s Available:

• Single intake: One request routes to the right ITPA member(s) for qualification and next steps.

• Carrier-grade options: Fibre access, transport, wavelength, dark fibre, and data-centre interconnects.

• Regional expertise, broader reach: Local providers collaborating to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
